Current Road Updates
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and APC Southern will have a paving project along I-70 in Eagle, Summit and Clear Creek counties. Work will begin with repaving the I-70 right hand climbing lanes on Vail Pass in three locations between mile marker 178.7 and 215.5. The project will originate eastbound I-70 near Vail and progress towards the summit of Vail Pass. Crews will remove and replace the top 2 inches of asphalt in over 10 miles in the right lane; they will also replace barrier, restripe the lanes and reinforce some of the drainage culverts under the interstate.

At the encouragement of the public over the past few years, the Breckenridge Town Council recently approved a plan to improve the north entrance into town. The project entails re-landscaping the existing roundabout and median on SH 9 from Valley Brook Road to the roundabout at the north end of Park and Main. Phase I involves demolishing the existing roundabout landscape inside the curb and gutter and installing a portion of the landscaping. The overall project will provide colored stamped concrete, banner/hanging basket poles, electrical outlets, irrigation and electrical conduit and stone wall work. Phase I is expected to go through the end of October, and Phase II is slated for Spring 2015. Drivers should expect minor delays as lane closures will take place periodically during the project phases.
